RIDE ALONG THE SCENIC TRAILS OF THE FOX RIVER
Join us on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, when the Heart and Soul Fund presents the 4th annual Follow the Fox Ride -- It is a charity ride with a shared mission to have maximum fun and raise money for our featured partner, Cal's Angels. From recreational riders to avid cyclists, winding along the Fox River Trail this ride offers something for everyone. Follow the Fox Ride has two different lengths to chhoose from this year, either a metric century(62miles/100K) or a classic century (100miles/160K). Starting from either Oswego or Batavia, IL to Lake Geneva, WI. The ride includes 4 main rest stops along the way plus an extra one for the 100 milers. New this year -- we will end at Big Foot Beach State Park near Lake Geneva. This 271-acre park on the shore of Geneva Lake offers wooded campsites, a sand beach, 6.5 miles of hiking trails, and picnic areas. Register early to reserve your spot. Event registration will be closed once the rider capacity is met.

The Follow The Fox Ride features . . .
• Two rides to choose from – Classic(100miles) or the Metric(62 miles)
• Paper and/or Ride with GPS links: 100 Mile route link or 62 Mile route link and clear pavement markings for all routes
• Fabulous food – fresh fruit, PB&Js, bagels, snack bars, water, beer, and energy drinks – plus something special and unique to each rest stop. Some of the stops are free to all riders others the food and drinks are at your cost.
• Mechanical support for minor issues will be provided by group leaders and SAG support
• SAG vehicles providing mid-ride assistance for emergencies
• A certificate of completion to impress your friends
REGISTRATION and FEES
Adult Registration: Now - September 12, 2025 Only - $75
Adult Registration: Day of Event until 11 am if capacity is still available - $95
Youth Registration: Riders age 17 or under (Must be accompanied by a registered adult.) - $25
Bus Ride back to the start: This is optional, there will be two stops one in Batavia & one in Oswego - $50
Stay and enjoy Lake Geneva by either camping at Big Foot State Park or some of the many hotels and resorts in the area.

Commemorative free t-shirts will be included with registration. Your shirt size will be asked of you on the registration page.
FUND RAISING SWAG!
After you get you Fundraising page up and running challenge yourself and your friends to raise as much as you can to get the SWAG you want. Reach these different levels for your choice in SWAG:
Raise over $250 - Club Ride Bike Jersey
Raise over $500 - Bontrager Commuter Lighting system
Raise over $750 - Bontrager WAVE Cell Helmet
Raise over $1000 - Rapha Bib cycling shorts
Registration fees are not refundable. In case of EVENT cancellation, registrations will roll-over to 2026. No cash refunds will be issued. Registered riders will receive their Name tag ID at the Oswego Hudson Crossing Park Check in or the Batavia, Lippold Park Check in. The name tag is your "ticket" to rest stops and SAG support.
CHOOSE THE RIDE THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU
Pick a distance that suits your abilities and goals for the day – whether that’s enjoying a leisurely ride with friends/family or challenging yourself for distance or pace.

We will have 2 starts the Classic Century (100miles) at 7:00am (Start) from Hudson Crossing Park 65 N S Harrison St. in Oswego 60544 and Metric Centrury at 9:00am (Start) from Lippold Park, 1400 N River Rd, Batavia, IL 60510.

100-mile riders should start no later than 7:30am; 62-mile riders should start no later than 9:30am.

Be sure you allow enough time to complete your ride before the rest stops on your route choice closes. All support ends as each rest stop closes.

Both rides end at BIG FOOT BEACH STATE PARK - 1550 S Lake Shore Dr, Lake Geneva, WI 53147. You are welcome to go jump in the lake after you finish! (I am planning on doing that!)
NAVIGATING THE ROUTES
We provide four ways for you to navigate your chosen route -- road markings, paper cue sheets and Ride with GPS digitally downloadable turn-by-turn directions.
REST STOPS AND SAG SUPPORT
Be prepared to show your Name ID tag when visiting a rest stop for food or mechanical assistance or when flagging down a SAG vehicle for assistance. Your Name ID tag is your proof of registration and contains the emergency phone number.
Rest stops (Fire Station # 3, Dundee, and the end stop at are free) on both routes are stocked with fresh fruit, salty snacks, healthy snacks, water and hydration drinks. Each rest stop also has something special and unique. Some of the special items include delicious BBQ(MoonTime) and ice cream (Rusty Malt)! (These items at these stops are at your own cost)

SAG vehicles cruise all routes and can be contacted when needed. Each SAG vehicle has a knowledgeable bike maintenance person who can help with flats or minor adjustments. SAG vehicles are also dispatched when the number on your name tag is called.
BE PREPARED AND BE SAFE
For your own safety and the safety of others:

Bring a bike in good condition, with a spare tube, basic tools and a water bottle.

Wear light or bright clothing to make yourself more visible on the roadway and trail.

All Cyclists must wear a helmet.

Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the ride.

Know and obey all traffic laws and signals/signs. Signal your turns. Ride predictably.

Always pass other riders on their left and call out "On your left" or "Passing" as you do so.

Carry personal identification.

Ride within your ability and physical condition.

Some of the route is on public roads that we share with motorists. Some communities may issue tickets for riding more than two abreast or for disregarding traffic signals and signs.
GETTING THERE AND GETTING HOME

Vehicles may be parked in the public parking lot at Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego or Lippold Park in Batavia on the day of the event and overnight.

A return bus will bring you back to Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego or Lippold Park in Batavia in the evening for an additional cost. The bus will leave 1 hr after the last rider has arrived who is a bus ticket holder.

Stay in Lake Geneva there are plenty of Lodging, hotel, and camping options.
